Wedding DJ Dubai – Confirming my DJ
Hello my fellow bloggers, brides to-be and wedding pro’s,
It’s Thursday, my blogging day here at expatbride.com and today I am going to share with you details of my confirmed wedding DJ.
I have confirmed our wedding DJ, yay! DJ Sister Rock (Ananda). Finding a wedding DJ was easy for me, as DJ Sister Rock is client of mine, which enabled me to learn a lot about her and her style before interviewing her for my wedding.
Sister Rock (Ananda) is an alternative DJ based in Dubai who specializes in indie, rock, punk, ska, reggae and old skool hip hop, she does however have a vast collection for weddings and personal requests, anything from 80’s classics through to the latest dance floor smash hits. You can hear her play in clubs over the Gulf, UK festivals, private parties and of course weddings.
Music is REALLY important to Adam and I, we have a lot of musical activity happening at our wedding and the DJ, in our opinion, has to be eclectic and willing to work with what we had in mind. I think I scared Ananda a little when I told her how important the music was to us, but she laughed it off and has assured me she fits the bill.
I really like the idea of having a female DJ at our wedding, it’s different and I’m a great supporter of creative women. Ananda is charming, witty and has great taste in music, she is also a bit funky, and I love that! She informs me that she also has some of the best equipment money can buy, including lighting.
I do want my DJ to emcee a little and hype the crowd up when needed, and Ananda has said she will do this.
Ananda is also listed on www.brideclubme.com and has lots of positive reviews and testimonials, which made choosing her as our official wedding DJ all the more easier.
Ananda’s wedding DJ rates seem pretty standard to me and I am told she often goes above and beyond what is expected of her, which is never a bad thing.
Anyhow, she has her work cut out for her at our wedding, we have requested songs ranging from 80’s cheeseball classics, Dub step right through to bashment! He-he! Can’t wait to dance it up on the BIG day and have all out favorite songs playing throughout the night! Time will tell if I have made the right choice, but for now, I think I have.
