WEDDING RANT – With a positive ending.

Hello lovelies…

Today I am having a mini rant. My biggest bug bear over here in Dubai is ‘lack of communication and late responses’, I know we are all busy, we work and play hard over here in the concrete jungle, but what’s the limit?  Three, four email follow up’s, a phone call once a week? My threshold for businesses taking their sweet time responding to my wedding enquiries is starting to wane.

Recently I have had to cancel my confirmed wedding videographer because they re-located abroad without informing me, how did I find out? Through FACE BOOK! This sort of behavior is unacceptable in my eyes, it took me FIVE emails and three phone calls before I finally got an email explaining what happened.

Not all wedding vendors have been like this, but again, even with one of the celebrants I emailed, 3 follow up emails and no response? Maybe my expectations are high, but I am sure I am not the only bride to-be in the UAE who feels this.

Anyway, thank god no cash was exchanged with the videographer, I was actually following the vendor up so I could pay my deposit. I happy to say, I have now confirmed my NEW WEDDING VIDEPGRAPHER  Morning Jacket Films. I trust them as I have worked with them on a professional level with www.brideclubme.com, they filmed my official launch event for Bride Club ME and also work with me on some vendor interviews.

They also produce wonderful wedding videos and are a lovely bunch of gentlemen.  In fact several readers of www.brideclubme.com have also booked them for their own weddings.
