Groom/grooms men suits in Dubai – Our wedding suits.

Hello folks,

Sorry for the delay in this, I was due to post yesterday but ended up spending 6 HOURS conducting an Arabic hair and make-up bridal review in Abu Dhabi, that’s another story, post coming soon.

Today, I will talk about the groom/grooms men suits. I am not sure if I am the only bride to-be that has had to push her fiancé into looking in to hiring/buying his suit and sorting the ushers attire, but I’ve had to play PA to my fiancé and coordinate meetings between a tailor and him! Grrr! Anyway, I’ve now held my hands up, the introductions have been done and he can take over from here. Lol.

Thought I’d add a little humour to the post! lol.

What we are doing is having a tailor make Adams ‘legal’ ceremony suit, which will be a little more casual in style then the suit he will wear for our big November wedding ceremony. The legal suit will be smart but less formal then the Nov wedding suit.

We contacted M7 Bespoke in Dubai, founded by British/Asian expat Moni, who designs all of the suits in M7 Bespoke’s range. She is an extremely sassy and style conscious woman, based in DIFC where the majority of her clients are top tear business men in the financial district, she has also designed and tailored suits for grooms men in the region and more recently, for the world renowned celebrity magician/illusionist Dynamo. Moni and I hit it off straight away, she is a woman after my own heart, hard working and loves her job!

Our brief to Moni was to design/tailor a stylish, yet casual grey fitted suit. M7 Bespoke will also design and make a fitted shirt for Adam as part of their Bride Club ME special promotion – YES, even I can avail my clients discounts and special offers, he-he! So far, Adam has had two fittings and seems happy enough so far. If we love the results, we may hire M7 Bespoke to create Adams November suit, and his best man’s suit too.

Adam is half Italian, and we want to show this off  through a black, classic cut, high quality, Italian style suit on our wedding day. I want my man looking like an Italian god! Ha-ha! The ushers will look dashing too, but we are always keeping in mind that the wedding will be outdoors and so the material cannot be too heavy. The ushers will pay for their own suits, I think this is pretty common, however we will be sourcing good rates and deals for them.

Adam’s best man lives here in Dubai and three of his ushers are  in the UK. When we return  to the UK in July, Adam will get his ushers measured and see if a tailor in the UK can make up the suits there. A tailor in Dubai can make the best mans suit, in line with those made in the UK……. OR…….. the boys back home may just hire their suits  – Complicated I know – Ah the joys of being an expat couple getting married in Dubai .

As for the ushers and grooms accessories, we are paying for these and my brides maids dress tailor Moira Design will be creating ties and handkerchiefs to match my BM dresses. Adam will also gift his grooms men some personalized cufflinks. We are currently sourcing these, so will keep you all updated, we are off to the UK in July, so we may pop by Camden market and see if we can pick up some inexpensive funky cufflinks there.
