Wedding Make-up Dubai – My wedding and hair make-up artists.

It’s Thursday, BLOG day. Today, I am happy to say I have now confirmed my wedding hair and make-up artists, the gorgeous duo ‘Dee & Dal’ from Make-up by Dee & Dal, Dubai.

I first met Dee & Dal around three months ago when we were discussing Dubai wedding make up artists, their services and collabing on Bride Club ME. When I met them and saw how gorgeous and flawless their make-up looked I had to find out more about their services for my own wedding too.

Dee & Dal are from the UK but have Egyptian heritage, so they are well versed in both the strong Arabic bridal make-up look preferred by many in Dubai, and the softer, more romantic look that many expat westerners go for and can also strike a healthy balance of the “in-between”.

Another selling point for me was the fact that they also style wedding hair, BIG BONUS! It’s rare to find a make-up artist that can actually offer both services, the cost also mounts if you are having to pay for both services separately.

Their rates are also extremely reasonable, working in the wedding industry I know many fabulous make-up artists, but a good portion charge upwards of 3500AED and above for make-up alone, which, let’s face it, is not an amount that can be paid by many, well some may be able to afford it, but not me. For both hair and Make-up, Dee and Dal charge a rate that is accessible for most of us mere mortals, of course their rates may vary dependent on the occasion and what is expected.

Anyhow, I had my first make-up trial with Dee & Dal around three weeks ago. Because I have such a busy schedule, they came to me, with their make-up kit in tow and proceeded to turn me in to a blushing bride. I had sent them some inspiration boards previously so they had an idea as to the look I was wanting to achieve.

I have had my hair and make-up done before for various events and photo shoots, but one thing that stood out to me about Dee & Dal was how extra gentle they were, I hardly flinched, this is important to me as I am a very impatient and restless person, lol.

The outcome – LOVED IT! My skin looked flawless, loved the colors, although we are doing a second trial closer to the wedding to tweak out a few things i.e.: The lip color shade, length of falsies and slight alteration with the hair. I can’t complain, just another day looking extra gorgeous for me and I am a perfectionist as many of my suppliers know, HA-HA!

I always say, it’s so important that you like and get on with your vendors, especially those such as photographers and make-up artists as they will be spending a lot of time with you. I really liked Dee and Dal, they are down to earth, fun and also seemed to like my music, as they were bobbing and humming along to my 1990’s RnB classics as they transformed me with their hair and make-up, he-he. I am hoping me + Dee & Dal = Kim Kardashain! LOL – A girl can dream and sometimes dreams do come true.

Obviously I won’t post the final outcome, but I can’t wait for you all to see the images after my wedding in November.
