M7Bespoke – Our Update ‘the grooms’ Tailored suit (legal wedding)
Hello chums,
So today, I popped along after work with my fiancé to have his final suit fitting with Moni from M7 Bespoke, bear in mind, this suit is for our ‘legal’ wedding which is just around the corner. The suit will be smart but less formal then our wedding blessing attire in November. He will also wear the suit to my cousins wedding in July and keep it handy for work meetings, etc. Anyhow, when I saw my fiance in the suit I let out a big ‘ahhhhhhhhhhh’ – He looked SO handsome!
I did not see him with the shirt, tie and all, but the suit fit perfectly with a few last minute tweaks needed here and there. I’ve never seen him looking so dapper to be honest. Being the perfectionist I am (and I could tell Moni knows I am, because she kept asking me if I liked it) I got up and close and personal for further inspection. I have to say the finish, quality and tailoring was fantastic, absolutely 100% impressed and Moni herself was so particular with the final tweaks and will not allow my man to leave with the suit until it is 200% perfected. Adam will go back early next week to collect the completed suit.
After our visit to Moni, we headed for the Dubai Mall to find some shoes for Adam. The recently opened ‘Level shoe District’ in the Dubai Mall is filled with hundreds of designer and bespoke shoes. We did many double takes when looking at price tags, but finally found a pair of ‘Bow tie’ black tie up shoes that Adam became fixated with and was reasonably priced. They were quite lovely to be honest and it is for a special occasion. I think my baby deserves to treat himself a little too, so he brought the shoes.
I know there is always so much emphasis on the bride and her dress, but honestly, I’ve really enjoyed helping Adam choose his suits/suits and seeing his cute face light up when he tried on the first suit today, I think he felt really smart and manly – He-he! It’s been a nice experience and he actually asked me to help him!
We never managed to get round to ties, cuff links and belts, so I will leave that up to Adam to get next week after he picks up his suit.
Can’t wait to see him all gentlemanly and dapper very soon as we sign our papers and become man and wife in the eyes of the law! As many of you know, it’s very common for us expats to have a ‘legal’ wedding and then a larger wedding blessing later on where we go all out with the dress, food, guests, entertainment and so on.
In a way it’s a pain and emotionally testing sometimes, I fought with my feelings on it for a while, but when I found out that almost all the brides I meet here have done the same, I felt a little better – Now I just think we are lucky, we get to have our special moment alone (with a few witnesses) get all the legal hassle out of the way and then can relax and focus on our blessing, where we will write our own unique vows, celebrate with those we love and dress up to the nines! YAY! Both days will be uniquely special in our eyes.
We have been very open and honest with our friends and family too and they have been wonderful.
Back on Thursday with an update on ‘My legal wedding dress’
Ciao for now
Rio xx
