Hello – My wedding beauty and fitness update
Hello lovelies.
SMACKED WRIST for Rio, yes, I am a week late in updating my blog, so sorry. Usual lame excuse.
Anyway, here I am and today, I am going to talk about my beauty and fitness regime in the lead up to my wedding, which is now only 6 WEEKS AWAY :o. So, as some of you may have read, I have hired a personal trainer, It’s been great so far and I must express, my wedding was simply an incentive to start changing my habits and work out regularly, not the ‘reason’. I don’t do ‘scales’ but I have noticed a change in my body and the way I feel, I am also receiving compliments, so I know it’s working. You can read the full review coming soon on www.brideclubme.com and if anyone wants the number/contact of my trainer, feel free to drop me an email.
I’ve started to eat healthier and a few weeks before the big day I am going to cleanse my system using the Detox delight raw meal plan and detox juices. This has come highly recommended to me and I think it’s good to have an internal cleanse now and then. I also know the ladies at DETOX Delight and they are lovely, very informative and passionate about what they do.
In regards to beauty, I have started my three month plan in the lead up to my big day. This includes:
- 1X paprika facial a month (three months in advance) so, my second facial is due next month and my last facial is due at least 3 weeks before my wedding. The paprika facial is the only facial I have ever had that has given me positive long terms results. So I have decided to stick to this.
- Full body wax about 3 days before the wedding
- Shellac Mani and Pedi two days before the wedding
- And finally a blow dry, body scrub, threading and a much needed long and deep massage the evening before the big day, so I feel relaxed and can sleep will.
The body wax, facials and mani/Pedi will all be done at the ‘Sugar Urban Nails salon/JTL’ I have reviewed their services before and was impressed, the commercial director there is also a good friend of mine, so I know I will be looked after. As for the evening before treatments, these will all be done at my wedding venue, ‘The Desert Palm’ in their spa ‘LIME’. They have created a special package for me as the bride, so this was appreciated. Adam and I also have a post wedding massage to look forward to the following day, yay!
On the day itself will be the hair and make-up.
I have decided to stay away from any big treatments that may be risky so close to the day such as skin peels and electrolysis, I have also decide not to opt for tans of any kind, as I am brown enough, I’ll just apply some nice moisturiser with a tint of shimmer.
So there you go, that’s my plan, no surgery, lip enhancements, chemical peels and all that madness, just simple and standard beauty treatments to help a bride achieve that glow she desires. Oh, OK, I lie, I am considering possibly having my teeth polishes/whitened, but that is highly unlikely, I’m just not a fan of these things if I’m honest.
I guess being pampered is one of the more enjoyable parts of the wedding planning process and you can judge of it was all worth it when you see my wedding pictures…eek!
I have a busy weekend ahead, as I will be exhibiting as ‘media partner’ for Bride Club ME at the Address + Resorts wedding fair at the Address Dubai Marina on Friday/Sat and will also be at the DIVAlicious Expo at the Godolphin Ballroom, Jumeirah Emirates Towers on Saturday and Sunday. If you are free to pop by to either, it will be worth it as there are some fabulous exhibitors showcasing their services, including some of my lovely clients. Pop by and say hello!
Ciao for now and I’ll be back soon with more wedding updates.
Rio xx
