Preparing for round two of THE HEN party – Dubai Edition.

Hello gorgeous ones.

Today will be a quick blog post, as I plan to post another on Monday.

It’s been a pretty packed week and I’ve crammed in a lot  – I contributed to and attended one of my besties/Bridesmaid and Bride Club ME’s photographers ‘Alice’ baby shower (what a beautiful day it was too), met with several fabulous wedding vendors, had a tour of a gorgeous wedding venue, was invited to a private art/photography exhibition with a unique wedding theme (more to come on www.brideclubme.com), attended the press conference for FifiArabia (the Oscars of the fragrance industry) and discussed bridal scents and perfumes, met with a few of my clients, and picked up a few bits and bobs my own wedding.

Last but not least, my fiancé and I visited our good friends brand new shisha/restaurant ‘Nahawand’. What a great end to a long but productive week, definitely some of the best shisha’s I have had and the food was delicious, highly recommended. They are also hosting an engagement party there soon, so check it out of you are looking for a potential venue with an Arabic touch.

It doesn’t end there, tomorrow is the Dubai edition of my HEN party, he-he. You may have read about my HEN back in London, well, I had to do something with my besties here and we all decided to act as a team and contribute. I’ll be hosting at home and the theme is ‘slumber/PJ’s …. my girls will each be bringing something to the table. My Matron of honor is a pro baker, so she will be baking up some tasty treats, my bridesmaid Alice is a fabulous photographer and makes killer cock/mocktails, so this will be her domain and my good friend and founder of  ‘Mother Baby Child’ magazine Darine, is full of fun and games and has organized some ‘must have’ hen naughtiness…me, well, I’m hosting, and have styled the ‘Hen Bar’ and made the place look pretty…lol. I’ll also be providing some nibbles.

One of my lovely wedding industry contacts, Tom from ‘The Beach Boy Butlers’ called me today and gifted me a lovely Hen surprise, a bag packed full of brilliant HEN party pleasers, what a star! I can’t wait, what a great chance to catch up with my bestest girlfriends, laugh, giggle and let loose…? I also love that we are all chipping in and working as a team. Depending on how I feel, I may even go out and paint the town PINK after.

I’ll post an update with pictures soon. It’s now just over a month until my big day, I can hardly believe it, I’M NOT SURE how I feel right now….weird, excited, nervous, happy….. I spend a lot of time helping other brides and writing about other people’s weddings with www.brideclubme.com that sometimes, I lose track that my own is just around the corner…the great thing is, I have a huge network of other brides and readers who often email  me and share their emotions, they know how I feel and that’s great to have people to share the planning process with.

Righto folks, I’m off to bed, gotta get my beauty sleep for tomorrows HEN, I hope I make it out alive.
