11 DAYS TO-GO – My Dubai Wedding
Hi lovelies.
Right now, I feel like I need 3 of me, it’s all systems go! Last weekend I spent the weekend up in Abu Dhabi, at the Park Hyatt Hotel/Saddiyat Island for our best Dubai buddies wedding blessing ‘Camilla and Adam Hassan’.
My fiancé and I travelled up the evening before to join the bride and groom for dinner at the Monte Carlo Beach club.
The next morning, I got up early and had a swim with fellow bridesmaid ‘Alice’ in the clear blue ocean and then we stocked up with a healthy breakfast before heading to the bridal suite to get ready.
The morning was a little chaotic, but thereafter the wedding was smooth and beautiful, the bride and groom looked gorgeous and our Bridesmaids dresses made by the talented Moirai Style team got lots of compliments. I was so proud to stand by our friends side as the confirmed their marriage in front of friends and family, brought a tear to my eye – We kind of introduced them .
Attending all these weddings before my own, has helped me with my planning to be honest, I’ve been taking mental notes, he-he! Below are some amateur pictures from the day, a REAL wedding feature will be published on www.brideclubme.com some time in December, so watch this space!

As for my wedding, well, this week I have picked up all my favor bags for guests (huge thanks to Sameera from I gifts JLT and her staff for sourcing the bags and filling them AND for leaving me a cute message on the boxes), printed a few last minute things and finished all music.

I had my final (at least I thought) fitting for my wedding gown, again, apparently Ive lost more weight so the dress needs to be taken in a little more, Im not even trying now, so I find this weird. I really hope my dress does not lose its style after all the alterations.
I also had a bit of a panick regarding the photos after the ceremony ‘Bride and group’ & ‘family/friends’ shots. The sun is qoing down so quickly at the moment, not really leaving much time for shots in natural day light. Our ceremony starts at 4pm and we only really have an hour of good light after that. I can’t move the ceremony forward as its all set now and check-in at our hotel is 3pm.
So, I have cut back some of our preferred locations for shots and we will stick around the ceremony area, we also have a backup plan to get the shots we really wanted…I’ve decided not to stress myself any more about it, as I know all that really matters is me and adam and being there with our guests. I’m sure what ever pictures are taken will be amazing!! I think working in wedding media, has made me too much of a perfectionist, I really need to let go now.
So from here on, it’s just really tying up loose ends, finishing a couple of DIY jobs and I’m done J I want to relax from Thursday onwards as my guests start to arrive next week. It will be a bit stressful lugging all my wedding stuff to the venue the morning before, but nothing I can’t handle.
I’m really excited now and can’t wait to see all my family and confirm my marriage to my gorgeous man!
I’ll be back online next week with one or two last updates before the wedding and then I may be a little quiet for a while until all the wedding madness is over.
Ciao for now
Rio xxx
